Teacher Tuition Incentive and Exemption

University College offers a tuition incentive stipend to current educators seeking to further their education in Graduate School.

Each semester, current educators are awarded UL Lafayette Teacher Tuition Incentive. A portion of the tuition is waived, provided that the teacher meets the set requirements. Students MUST be enrolled in Graduate School, and earn a grade of "C" or better in the course. The money is awarded on a tier level, first-come, first-serve basis. First priority is given to those educators seeking the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.). Second priority is given to educators seeking a graduate degree in Education. Last priority is given to those graduate level educators who are in a non-degree seeking program (Entree/Master's plus 30) or in any non-education field.

The State of Louisiana also offers a program to help teachers with their tuition. The Teacher Tuition Exemption Program is distributed by each individual parish at their own discretion. For more information on this program, contact your local school board.
