| Q: |
I want to earn a college degree but have never attended the University.
How do I get started? |
| |
| A: |
Getting started on a college degree is easier than you think. The staff
at University College understands the needs of busy adult students looking
to earn college credit or advance their careers. We have many special
programs that cater to non-traditional students who do not fall into
the "first-time-freshman, straight-out-of-high-school" category. Contact
University College at (337) 482-6729 for more information on getting
started. |

| Q: |
How is University College different from Continuing Education or the Community College? |
| |
| A: |
University College is a department within the University, unlike a
community college or technical school. What separates us from Continuing
Education is that our courses are for college credit. Students
enrolled through University College earn grades and credits on
their transcripts. |

Can I receive financial aid if I’m enrolled through University College? |

| A: |
No. Financial Aid is not awarded to non-degree seeking students. You must be pursuing a major or teacher certification to be eligible for loans and grants. |
